Echo the Pigeon
Echo is here looking for their forever home! I told him I would help and ask around. He’s a cuddly little thing that loves to show off his flappy wings and tail.
Pigeons can make great pets, are very clean, and little social butterflies. They are monogamous little cuties that can hide their nests very well. They will both take care of the eggs, feed the babies and the babies will leave the nests at about 6 weeks, where they will look almost identical to other adult pigeons. Hence, why we NEVER see baby pigeons.
They are credited with delivering very important messages during war times, they delivered mail, and even help in sea search rescues since they can fly fast, and up to 700 miles per day. We domesticated pigeons about 10,000 years ago and are to this day, semi-domesticated. Unfortunately, the biggest threat to pigeons are humans, right above peregrine falcons. So always remember to treat your local, hyper-intelligent, pigeons with the love and respect they deserve.
Echo is 5” tall, 4.5” long, and 5” wide (wing-to-wing)
